Frequently Asked Questions
Things just happen without you having to think about them. The lights adjust, the heat pump kicks in before you get home, the garage closes itself if you forgot. It’s not about having fancy technology, it’s about your house fitting around your day instead of the other way around.
Most people we talk to aren’t looking for a “smart home”, they just have a problem they want solved. The garage they keep forgetting to close. The house that’s cold every time they get home. The driveway they can’t see from inside. We start there, solve that one thing, and most people end up wanting more once they see how it works. You don’t need to know anything about smart home technology. That’s what we’re here for.
We currently serve Morrinsville, Hamilton, Cambridge, Matamata, Te Awamutu, and the surrounding Waikato region or we can go to Auckland as well! If you’re unsure whether we cover your area, just send us a WhatsApp message and we’ll let you know.
It doesn’t have to be done all at once. Most people start with one small problem they want solved. Maybe it’s the garage, maybe it’s the cameras and go from there. Because everything runs on the same platform, it all connects when you’re ready to add more.
Professionalism and safety are our top priorities. All specialized electrical work, including the installation of smart switches and power points is performed by Bonnar Electrical. As New Zealand Registered Electricians, they ensure that all work is fully certified and compliant with NZ safety standards.
No. We believe you should own the technology you buy. Unlike some mainstream brands, Our system operates without mandatory monthly subscriptions. Once your system is installed, you have full access to all features with no hidden recurring costs.
No, and this surprises most people. A lot of smart home products stop working the moment your internet drops, because they’re running off a server somewhere overseas. Ours runs inside your home on its own little server. Internet goes down, your system keeps going like nothing happened.
A lot of smart home devices send your footage and data to servers overseas and sometimes without people realising it. Our systems store everything locally, inside your home on your own hardware. Nobody else can access it. Not us, not a tech company, nobody.
While we do not maintain a public showroom, we provide private consultations for a more personalized experience. We can demonstrate the user interface on our central dashboard and provide a detailed walkthrough of how the hardware will be integrated into your specific home environment.
Quite a bit, actually. Your heat pump only runs when someone’s home. The towel rail turns off after your morning routine. Lights don’t stay on in empty rooms. None of it requires you to remember anything, the system just learns when things are needed and when they’re not. For a lot of Waikato households, that alone makes a noticeable difference on the power bill.
